The company was created on June 15, 1992 in Virginia Beach, Virginia by Michael Weeks.  In November of 1993, it was incorporated and traded as Snake Removal®_™ .

Michael Weeks has been working with snakes since 1970 and has been a member of several herpetological and herpetocultural societies and associations for the past 13 years.  In 1994, Snake Removal®_™  became active in a growing number of states which culminated in a coast to coast area of operations by the spring of 1995.  Snake Removal, Inc. presently has over 50 field herpetologists/herpetoculturists including several with doctoral or masters level work accomplished in the field.   Snake Removal®_™  is the largest company of its kind specializing exclusively in snakes.  Considerable emphasis is placed upon educating clients about snakes and the incalculable benefits we derive from their predation of often destructive and disease-bearing pests.  It is a strong secondary objective to facilitate an acceptance by the public of the non-harmful vast majority of snake species that we have in this marvelous country.
